I know how Ms. Via feels. I'm the Queen of England, and I can't figure out why I keep being excluded from state events. I was crowned by my pet terrier, fair and square! Why won't they recognize my authority?
I just loved the condescending tone of the letter that went out to the membership about this, admonishing the hoi polloi to receive this broad with charity, even though her appearance was certain to cause controversy. In other words, sit down, shut up, and eat your excrement sandwich.
ReplyDeleteTo give a heretic a forum at an event sponsored by an organization dedicated to a saint is itself uncharitable by definition: there is in such a situation no real distinction between tolerating and condoning. The apparent endorsement is bound to harden that person in error, to the considerable detriment of her immortal soul.
Well, at least they did the right thing in the end. I hope she does the right thing in the end and repents of all her heretical nonsense.

ReplyDeleteWhen you ask, "why won't they recognize your authority?", do you mean the "they" as in your dogs?
ReplyDeleteThe reason might be that "they" don't recognize you, it 'ain't' a pleasant site seeing in you in your robes of priestly office, er...uh...er, I mean robes of state. [Look in the mirror, okay? And, don't break it].
.... After all, a guy (or a gal in this case) 'oughta' be what she wants to be...... right? I want to be a medical physician, how about a pope, no, I was think I want to be the king of France?
Gosh if a guy or gal is delirious enough, he so she can be anything. Oh what fun.
