Conversion story

I have presented my conversion story several times since becoming a Catholic, but for some reason, I've never posted it publicly; till now. Since I have presented it at retreats under two different subject heads, I’ve posted both. They overlap some, but are written to different ends. May God grant you some benefit should you suffer to read one or both; and please, pray for me.

This link will take you to them.

  1. I read both of your testimonies, Mark, and all I can say is 'God is good' and 'you write well'. Thank you for sharing your journey.

  2. Wow Mark!
What a great read! I totally agree with Fr Speekman, that you write VERY well.
I now feel the need to share your story with some of my friends.
May you always & forever stay close to God.

  3. Dear Mark,
God bless you! It was wonderful reading your two conversion stories. I'm sure it was a challenge to share that with the world, but many will benefit from hearing your words. As you know, most people are perpetually "lookin' for love in all the wrong places," as the song goes. I'm sure you'll help your readers come home to the Rock.

May God continue to bless you. May Mother Mary always protect you, and may St. Dominic always intercede for you.

  4. Mark,
Thank you for the gift of your testimony and thank you Holy Lord for the gift Mark, your son our brother. Mark I would very much like to meet you some time. As a priest of the Diocese of Boise, and an avid fly fisherman perhaps we can share a day on the river casting and praying the hours.

    In Christ,
    Fr. Justin Brady
