St Benedict Lodge is a retreat facility in the Cascades that is owned and operated by the Dominican Friars of the Western Province.

The add from the USCCB says to contact your representative and senators. It doesn't mention writing to Catholic representatives and senators who do not represent me, but I'm thinking that may be the way to go. If the senate version is co-sponsored by Sens. Obama, Clinton, Lieberman and Kerry, it seems appropriate to appeal directly to Sen. Kerry, who as a fellow Catholic has no business supporting such legislation.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, as for my own reresentatives, my son recently got me the right email addresses and set me down in front of the computer to ask congressmen to vote against the 700 giga-dollar bailout. I received email responses from both Rep. Simpson and Sen. Crapo. (Crapo voted against the bailout and Simpson voted for it.)
